Dr. Khodabakhsh is a board-certified ophthalmologist, internationally renowned refractive and cataract surgeon, and one of the earliest pioneers of refractive cataract surgery. With more than 25 years of experience and tens of thousands of procedures performed, he is recognized for managing both routine and highly complex surgical cases with meticulous planning, advanced technology, and exceptional technical precision.

Dr. Khodabakhsh earned his medical degree from SUNY Downstate Medical Center College of Medicine before completing his ophthalmology residency at New York Medical College in Valhalla, New York. He then pursued advanced fellowship training in refractive and cataract surgery at the prestigious New York Eye and Ear Infirmary, where he refined specialized surgical techniques that continue to shape his practice today.

Dr. Khodabakhsh joined the faculty of New York Medical College as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology, where he contributed to the education and mentorship of future ophthalmologists. Throughout his career, he has remained committed to combining academic excellence with personalized patient care, carefully tailoring every treatment plan to each patient's visual goals, lifestyle, and long-term eye health.
